Tecnique

Orapix is organized in several parts:

The scanner and the visualization of the 3D models

Thanks to a high-technology laser scanner, the models are scanned in 3D. The visualization software 3Dxer, includes tools which help you to make diagnosis, like index calculations and measurements cuttings.

Virtual set-up

The software 3Txer allows the building of virtual Set-up:

• Teeth are automatically aligned according to the prescription which you selected

• Several options of treatment can be tested before the placement of brackets

• Thanks to the " Collision Test " every tooth is moved to obtain the best occlusal contacts

• Via internet you can control virtual Set-Up: you become your own technician

• By a simple click of the mouse, it is easy to optimize the orientation of teeth to obtain the best smile

• You and your patient can visualize the wished final result

Virtual bracket Positionning

• We select in our virtual library the brackets which you wish to use

• The bracket placement is completely individualized according to your prescription

• The distance of brackets to the lingual faces is minimal and personalized to adapt itself to the forms of teeth and allow the use of straight wires: it is the Orapix straight-wire technique

• Over-corrections can be applied to every brackets: corrections of angulation, of torque, height and rotation.

Customized transfer jigs

• Jigs serve to create a link, at first virtual then real, between every bracket and the tooth on which it will be bonded

• We use the CAD / CAM technology and a Rapid Prototype Machine to build Jigs.

• Each Jig adapts itself on every tooth of the models with an unequalled precision

• Jigs is used to bond brackets on the models in the same position that on the virtual Set-up

• Once brackets are bonded on initial models, a silicone tray is prepared to allow the bonding of all the brackets of an arch at the same time. Extensions in composite of resin-pads can be realized to make unitary transfer trays.

Sequence of individualized wires

Thanks to the particular position of bracket realized with Orapix, a completed sequence of wires, formed from the ideal position of teeth on the Set-up, is supplied for every case:

All the wires are flat, straight and without bends.

How to use Orapix

1 The package to be sent to Eurapix

a ) Preparation of the models

We prefer to receive models in plaster rather than impressions, it allows you to verify the quality of the models before sending them to us.

Indeed protect the plaster models by using boxes with bubble wrap. We recommend you to reuse a part of the boxes Eurapix which we use to send you the models with the trays of bonding and wires.

b ) The prescription form

Give the maximum of information about the treatment plan, the construction of the virtual set-up, the choice of brackets, the brackets placement and choice of wires.

Join the prescription form to the plaster models.

The prescription form can be downloaded.

c ) Brackets

We prefer to receive the brackets with the models, because the cost of brackets are not the same for all the countries and for all the practitioners.

Do not forget:

- Plasters models or silicon impressions

- Occlusion wax

- Prescription form and Brackets

2 Reception of parcel at Eurapix

From reception of your parcel, we verify the models, the brackets and your prescription.

We send you an email to confirm that your parcel has been received and in reply we will inform you of the return date.

(4 weeks are necessary for a normal case, we shall need an additional week if you wish to verify, via Internet, the virtual set-up)

3 The sending of the appliance

We shall send to you in a protected box:

• The software 3Txer for your 1st case (who allows to view the set-up)

• Trays for bonding

• Archwires

• Initial plaster models

• Transfer Jigs to rebond a bracket

• The individualized template to prepare new wires

Procedure of bonding

We use the Kommon Base system of Dr Komori. A fluid composite is spread on the lingual surface to increase the adhesion of brackets, which reduces considerably the percentage of bonding failures.

Easy Rebonding to the office

With every bonding we send back models and Jigs to allow you to prepare new bracket if necessary .

This procedure is easily realized in your practice, this releases you from any dependence of the Orapix center.
